Following a reported case of coronavirus infection in Kwale county, Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has urged residents to adhere to the set regulations and measures by the government in containing the pandemic.
In his statement on his official Facebook page, Governor Mvurya asked the people of Kwale to observe hygiene requirements as advised by the county public health officers, and security agencies.
“We have to observe these measures in order to break the chain of spread and remain safe from any infections,” read his statement.
On Sunday evening while addressing the nation on the status of COVID-19, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said that one case had been reported in Msambweni with the government making arrangements to airlift the patient to Nairobi for further treatment.
Those who came into contact which the patient are currently quarantined and monitored.
Once again, I ask all citizens to report any suspected cases of coronavirus,” Mvurya said in his statement urging the people to prayer for God’s mercy.
